About

The ONE Future Foundation’s history is deeply connected to Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. From the start, the Sorority’s founders envisioned a legacy that would extend beyond the organization and create lasting community impact. That vision first came to life in 2007, when members approved the establishment of a foundation. However, the effort was paused when it became clear that sufficient funds were not immediately available to build it on solid ground. Following this, members began petitioning the Sorority to dedicate future resources to its creation.

The idea was rekindled in 2019, when a Director of Philanthropy and Fundraising (DPF) began laying the necessary groundwork. Building on that momentum, the subsequent DPF in 2023 took the significant step of successfully petitioning the membership to officially create the Foundation. With this renewed commitment, a working group was formed to reestablish the Foundation and recruit an inaugural Board of Directors charged with defining its operations, developing programming, and advancing its mission.

Like milkweed nurturing the butterfly, the Foundation now fuels the mission of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc., giving life to a shared vision of transformation. Together, we are building a future where historically and strategically minoritized people are supported with the resources they need to thrive, and where the transformation of one life can shape a more just and enduring society.
